PKMN Crossing Dakota Profile (Update)

EDIT: Made some changes to come information. Dakota also now wears a leg brace to help stabilize her leg a little. Her move set changed a little as well. She also now has an occupation!

HOME TOWN: Aster City, Johto
HISTORY: Dakota was born an only child in Aster City and lived with her parents in an apartment. She ‘got along alright’ with both her parents growing up as long as she was respectful to others and followed their rules. Due to the fact that they were both policemen, she was often left her in the care of a sitter while they were on duty. Her sitter often ignored her; mostly due to the fact that the sitter really did not want to be there, so she had to learn to fend for herself at a young age. As a child, Dakota often hung out in the city park because she enjoyed getting away from the usual crowdedness of the city. There she met her close friend a Zangoose named Luca at the age of 8.

Dakota and Luca would try to hang out with each other as much as possible. A few times every week they would meet at the park and play games, sometimes even hanging out at each other apartments where they would read comics, watch movies, and play videogames together. Over the years the two of them became as close as siblings.

Despite the fact that she wanted to become a photographer, she entered the police academy in her late teens after her parents made her, following her family’s tradition by becoming a policewoman. When she made it into the police academy she was partnered up with a Zoroa (now a Zoroark) named Joey. After a couple years past Dakota and Joey gradually became a good team and friends.

One night Dakota and Joey were chasing someone down the street. They almost caught the person before Dakota was attacked by someone else who was hiding in the shadows, damaging her leg. They ended up catching the two but that would be the last time she would be able to do something as an officer. The damage to her leg was permanent and she ended up retiring at a young age. She ended up moving out of the apartment, which she was living in since moving out of her parent’s apartment, and stayed with Luca for a few months. She later decided that it would be best to start a new life somewhere else. She ended up hearing about Pokette Town from an ad that Luca had found for her and decided that she would try starting a new life there.

PERSONALITY: Despite her policewoman background, Dakota is generally rather relaxed when she is not working. Though, if she has a task to do, she will work hard and do her best. She is also rather tomboyish as well, not having very many qualities that could be considered feminine. She can be stubborn from time to time, especially when people try to bring up all the things she can’t due because of her injured leg. Dakota is protective of those who are close to her and will do her best to defend her friends if she sees anyone or anything threatening them. Dakota tends to have a hard time approaching new people, though, due to events that have happened to her in her past, but once someone has gained her trust, she’ll be a very caring and loyal friend to them. She can be rather awkward when it comes to the topic of love and feelings for others.

* She has a bit of a limp from her leg injury and it still causes her some pain. Because of this, she has difficulties walking quickly and she can’t run anymore.
-She now wears a leg brace. It helps stabilize her leg, though her leg still somewhat hurts and she still limps a little. (A munchlax named Ile talked her into getting one))
* She very occasionally has to wear an arm brace do to damage she received to her wrist by a Kingler while fishing with an ampharos named Jenna. Her injury occasionally acts up from time to time, usually do to over use of that arm.
* Most of her scars she has received are from her job as an officer.
* She uses her pouch to store items
- She almost always has a first aid kit, her house keys, a whistle, a bag of snacks, camera, and a pocket knife in her pouch
- She’ll also carry other items in her pouch as well like comic books and her laptop.
* She does her best to stay in contact with her two close friends Luca and Joey often via internet.
* She does not get along well with her parents these days, and does not enjoy talking about them.
* She enjoys stargazing because while in the city she could never see the stars due to all the lights. She really likes being able to see the stars.
* She got into fishing because when she first tried it she found it to be rather relaxing.
* Due to her ability Early Bird, she tends to wake as the sun rises if she’s not sleeping in a dark room.
* She’s starting to photography again as a hobby.
* She's slightly taller than the average kangaskhan
* She enjoys sparring for fun.
* She now occasionally enters fighting tournaments in the close by city for money. She considers this her main job, and really enjoys participating in them. She will still train anyone in the town who comes up and asks her though.
